Spring was painted live at the Manchester Gift Show in the Trafford Centre in 2012, and these are the original watercolour illustrations for what became a new full-colour book William Blake's 'Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience'. The book was published in two editions: first with the title of 'Songs of Life' in a limited 100-copy edition, for a centenary exhibition about William Blake which took place in Old Paradise Yard, London, in 2015, a location where Blake lived and worked. A small number, fewer than 10, of these books remain. A second edition entitled 'Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience' was published by Pentangel Books in 2018 and the audiobook was published in 2026.
Size (WxH): 190 x 140 mm, with 10 x 6 in. black mount.
