Executed with careful attention to natural light, the composition is defined by the sun’s gentle illumination: it traces the line of her shoulder, warms her forearms, and catches delicately along the folds of her translucent skirt. These passages of light lend the figure both presence and softness, anchoring her physically while reinforcing the contemplative mood.
