The drawings in this series, 'Tales from the Office', were not included in David's 'Anarchy in the Art Gallery' book, but they did lead to the formation of the idea to produce a coherent series of drawings... which were then used as content. Hence, works in this series were drawn before the 'Anarchy...' drawings.

These earlier drawings were inspired by an
interest in ‘office culture’, and how workplaces have their own
rules, traditions and expectations. The original drawings were in pen
and ink, and created as a speculative series called ‘Tales
from the Office’.
