Muddy Stilettos is a regional lifestyle publishing business that helps readers discover the best local experiences, venues, businesses, schools and travel opportunities across the UK through curated editorial content, reviews, guides and awards programmes.
It was founded in 2013 by journalist Hero Brown after she moved from London to the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire area and wanted a reliable source of local recommendations and inspiration.
The Muddy Stilettos Awards are a nationwide, consumer-driven awards programme that identifies, celebrates and promotes the UK's best independent lifestyle businesses through public nominations, regional voting and national editorial judging, generating 500,000 public votes in 2025, across all regions and categories.
The Muddy Stilettos Awards celebrates outstanding, independent local businesses and creative talent across the region, and we are truly honoured to be recognised among such inspiring competition, and are thrilled that our work in the arts and culture sector has been acknowledged in this way.
