James Horan

Stone Sculptor | County Waterford, Ireland

James is an Irish sculptor who works primarily in limestone and marble. Trained at Crawford College of Art and Design and holding a Master’s in Aesthetics and Art History, he creates expressive, figurative works that often explore themes of human experience, conflict, and vulnerability. Inspired by sculptors like Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth, James embraces direct carving and favors a raw, unfinished aesthetic that highlights movement and form. Alongside his practice, he curates exhibitions to support and promote stone sculpture in Ireland, maintaining a strong commitment to artistic integrity and community.
