...a dream or limbo-like state, enriched with elements of surrealism
Dimitar Hinkov explores the boundaries between classical figuration and modern abstraction in his work. His depictions of faces approach realism but are often subtly deconstructed, triggering a sense of recognition in the viewer. This technique creates an atmosphere that resembles a dream or limbo-like state, enriched with elements of surrealism. His approach is reminiscent of the work of Francis Bacon, who similarly blended figuration and abstraction to evoke powerful emotional and psychological responses.
