These original paintings of vibrant, textural, forested landscapes, are just brimming with life-affirming charm

Amanda Horvath is a contemporary artist known for her vibrant, colourful, and highly textured original paintings. She earned a first-class BA Honours degree in Fine Art from Sheffield Hallam University and subsequently lectured in colleges before dedicating herself full-time to her art practice. Working primarily with acrylics or oils, Amanda employs techniques such as impasto, scumbling, and glazing to create expressive works that capture the tranquility of peaceful woodlands and natural landscapes. Her paintings, which often begin en plein air and are completed in her Peak District studio, aim to evoke feelings of optimism and calm, lying somewhere between abstraction and realism, and these original paintings of vibrant, textural, forested landscapes, are just brimming with life-affirming charm.
