Oil Art Advisory is the brainchild of Inchbald School of Design graduate, Interior Architect and veteran Gallerist, Zoe Garner.

After working for a gallery chain for over a decade, Zoe rustled up a couple of like-minded souls and ventured out on her own, opening The Oil Art Advisory Gallery, Knutsford, in March 2024.

'Oil' is focused on offering unique and original artworks from established and up-and-coming artists, at realistic prices, while also showcasing works by lesser-known, but highly talented artists.

We also resell quality artworks, by more established and often famous artists, on behalf of clients, and we have a dedicated secondary market category to showcase this ever changing selection.

Additionally, we provide a platform for local artists from our home town of Knutsford, where we've discovered to our delight, that we have more than our fair share of creatives, and we currently have beautiful, abstract floral pieces by Sheila Scholes and Kim Smart as well as the wonderfully illustrative works of David Boardman, which beautifully depict movement on a static canvas. Plus the photography of Jack Thompson. From slightly further afield, but still close to the gallery, we have unforgettable, abstracted forests by the Peak District artist, Amanda Horvath; gorgeously textured cityscapes by Stephen Roby; and wood and stone sculptures and graphite illustrations by Steve Sutton.

Oil offers a more bespoke, client focused level of service which includes pre-sale, in-home viewings and draws upon Zoe's interiors background to offer expert advice aimed at finding the perfect artwork to complement a room.

We also offer free local delivery within 15 miles, and charge a flat-rate for UK delivery by courier.
