December 2024 saw 70 original, pastel drawings arrive in the gallery, all featuring a humorous juxtaposition of events, characters, historic paintings and artists to depict some really funny situations.
The artworks include around 50 pieces from the artist's "Anarchy in the Art Gallery" series, which was released as a book by the same name in 2022, and trying to discover some of the punchlines can make for a very amusing adventure.
Other works included a later series based on children's TV from the 60s and 70s called "Anything can happen in the next half hour" as well as a few additional pieces which don't quite fit these themes, but which may appear in a future book by Dr. Dave Colton.
The artworks are available to purchase either unframed, delivered rolled in a protective art-tube, or framed under glass with a white mount covering the un-drawn section of each acid-free sheet.
The shopkeeper sending Mr Benn to "Clockwork Orange Land" had me laughing out loud when Dave first brought them in, and I was still chuckling a few days later while uploading everything to the website.
